Saturday 19th January, 6.30pm – 8pm

Make the most of your visit to the show on Saturday 10th and enjoy an immersive evening at the Adventure Travel Film Festival, showcasing the best independent travel films from this past Summer’s popular event. The evening will include several film shorts from across the adventure travel spectrum before the main feature, a full-length film  ‘The Road To Independence’ by adventurer and filmmaker Olie Hunter-Smart. Olie will introduce the film and take Q & A’s following the showing.

Main Feature “The Road To Independence” followed by Q&A by film-maker Olie Hunter-Smart

Having attended the Adventure Travel Film Festival in 2016, Olie Hunter Smart set off to walk the length of India, a 4,500km journey with the aim of uncovering untold stories of Independence and Partition. Olie’s route saw him encounter high altitude, extreme heat, and monsoon rains as he walked through the rural heartland of the country, following in Gandhi’s footsteps as he hunted out real accounts of that period of history from those that experienced it first hand.
