1. Kibale National Park: The "Primate Capital"

• The Highlight: This park is home to 13 different species of primates, the highest concentration in Africa.

• The Experience: You will head into the jungle to track Chimpanzees. Seeing them interact, hunt, and play is like watching a live nature documentary.

  Other Species: While walking, you’ll see the beautiful Red Colobus and other types of monkeys. If you stay for a night walk, you can spot the tiny Bushbabies and Pottos that only come out in the dark.

2. Queen Elizabeth National Park: The Underground Forest

3. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: A Face-to-Face Encounter

• The Experience: This is a bucket-list adventure. You will hike through thick vines and steep hills to find a gorilla family. Spending one hour with a 400-pound Silverback is a powerful, silent, and deeply moving experience.

• The Biodiversity: Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage site and feels like stepping back in time. You’ll also spot Black-and-white Colobus monkeys jumping through the high canopy.

4. Mgahinga & Beyond: Rare and Unique Finds

• Golden Monkeys: In Mgahinga National Park, you can track the rare Golden Monkeys. They have bright orange fur and are very active, making them a favorite for photographers.

• Off-the-Beaten-Path: For those who want more, Budongo Forest offers quiet chimp trekking under massive mahogany trees, while Semuliki National Park is home to the rare De Brazza’s monkey.
