The lake Mburo Bike Safari
Because Uganda offers such diverse landscapes in a compact area, we are working on a strategies to connect these regions through a National Cycling Routes. This trail will link the country from Kisoro in the Southwest to Kidepo in the Northeast, allowing tourists to explore either specific stages or the entire cross-country journey.
Key Initiatives:
-
Beyond the Vehicle: We are positioning cycling as a healthy, eco-friendly alternative to traditional car-based safaris. It creates deeper immersion and supports local economies by bringing tourists directly to village shops and guesthouses.
-
Park Expansion: Currently, Lake Mburo is the only national park where cycling safaris are fully operational, allowing guests to pedal alongside zebras and impalas.
-
UWA Collaboration: In partnership with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), we are now assessing other protected areas for cycling potential, The tour of karamoja cycling events acts an example in the Northern part of the country. Our focus is on trail development, safety protocols, and the necessary infrastructure to make cycling a standard feature across Uganda's national park system
