Nestled in the calm embrace of a luxurious and ancient rainforest along Trinidad’s Northern Range, the Asa Wright Nature Centre is a natural paradise, comprising of approximately 1,500 acres of mostly forested estate and 10 miles of nature trails.

The protected rainforst is home to an easily accessible breeding colony of the rare nocturnal Oilbird, and houses a rich biota with an outstanding species list that includes native mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies, with a variety of flowering fauna. 

With a total of 29 rooms available for overnight accommodation, guests of the ecolodge do not have to venture far, as the undistilled beauty of the environment greets you upon arrival. Overnight guests will have their senses awakened at the cusp of dawn by the melodious harmonies of birdsong and the chatter of other forest dwellers.  

Immerse yourself in nature, take a walk along our many forested nature trails, soak in our natural pools, or sit on our large verandah and enjoy a variety of birds, such as toucans, trogons, purple and green honeycreepers, manakins, colorful tanagers, ruby-topaz hummingbirds, and mot mots (just to name a few).
