WIN A TRIP TO INDIA AND VOLUNTEER WITH LOCAL CHILDREN!
The Telegraph Adventure Travel Show has teamed up with i to i Volunteering to bring you the chance to win an trip to India to volunteer with children! Set in the beautiful state of Goa with its sun, sea and sandy beaches you'll be helping to bring some joy and happiness into the lives of underprivileged children who live in disadvantaged slum areas.
You may find yourself working in two projects, a mobile school and orphanage:
The mobile school project helps take education to the front door of the poor children of migrant workers living in slums, providing them with the education that they otherwise would miss out on. The project started in 2006 and is aimed at children aged between 6 to 14 years and caters for around 170 children in North Goa. The mobile bus itself forms a classroom and moves from area to area picking up the children then stopping and giving a 3 and a half hour educational session.
The Kindergarten and Orphanage project aims to help educate children from families who are unable to afford to send their children to school. The school has been set up since 1963 and the kindergarten has been running since 1930 and is well established in the area.
This project in incredibly rewarding and perfect for volunteers who want to work closely with children and make a difference to underprivileged communities.
Project Highlights

- Exploring the beautiful state of Goa and its vibrant culture and heritage
- Sample some of the spectacular local food - watch out for the Vindaloo!
